Blue Mountains, Australia

On the 13th of September, I woke up early and went to Sydney Central Station. Then I got a train from the central station to the Leura train station and it took almost 2 hours to arrive there.

Leura is a small village in the Blue Mountains. There almost 100 km far from Sydney. I went there so early and that’s why all shops, cafes and restaurants were closed.

Around 7.30 am I walked through the Leura mall street and recognised I can visit some lookouts for the Blue mountains. After 20-25 minutes I arrived at the Olympian Rock lookout and it was an amazing view from over so big rocks. They designed some areas there and I started took so nice images and videos from there.

After that, I walked to the Elysian Rock Lookout and which was another designed place to see mountains view and it was just a 500 m walkway from Olympian rock. I recognised they closed some pathways and then walked through Gordon falls reserve and walked inside of the huge green area and went down by steps. There were some amazing bird voices and I stopped and listen to them. When I see a local there I asked and she told me one of the bird voices is special and I was lucky to hear that. There were two birds and the first one started and then another bird followed with some lovely sounds each time.

Following that, I walked to the Pool of Siloam and there was a waterfall in the deep of the farm. That area was great for hiking and I took some photos and then walked more to the Golf Link Lookout. via Lyrebird Dell walking track. I saw all areas from different angles and there was one helicopter that was bringing some food maybe for wild animals to some areas.

Then I decided to walk to Leura centre through Gladstone road and then megalong street and first wanted to sit somewhere for coffee. I went to the Leura coffee. I ordered an americano and it was nice coffee there. Leura had Leuralla Toy and railway museum but there was temporarily closed. I recognised there was Bygone Beautys Treasured Teapot museum and tearooms in the village.

Behind the cafe Leura, there was a small but cute shopping centre and some nice graffiti on the walls. After that, I walked through the main street and entered some small shops. Then decided to go back to the train station and Sydney back.

I took the train and went back to Sydney after 2 pm. If I had more time there were many lookouts and some nice areas.
