Florence, Italy

When I visit Italy, Florence was one of the places I want to visit. I went there by bus from Milan. I was in there at night-time. I went there at Christmas time of the year.

I visited the best- and most well-known symbol of the city the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. This cathedral is coming from the 13th century, and it is lovely to see that huge building and take photos around that. This place is visited by millions of tourists every year.

After that, I walked through Piazza Della Republica. That area is in the centre of Florence, and you can see many nice cafés or entertainment areas. That square is full of many musicians and street artists.

Following that, I went to Ponte Vecchio. There is a bridge and over the bridge, I saw buildings. That buildings are mostly jewellery and souvenirs shops. It is a lovely, picturesque bridge in Florence.

Also, you could visit Palazzo Vecchio. It is well designed old building and used as a museum with a nice clock tower. Furthermore, another museum in the city is Bargello National Museum. It would be nice to visit there as well.

Another place to visit is the Basilica of Santa Croce in Florence. There are some well-known tombs in the basilica. Michelangelo and Galileo’s tombs are there. Also, I visited the Chiesa di Sant’Apollinera in the centre of the city. There is a church.

Piazzale Michelangelo is a great spot for a panoramic city view. When you visit there you can see the river and all buildings together. I went there evening time and it was nice to see Florence evening time with a nice view.
