Oslo, Norway

I had a flight to Oslo from Manchester on 21st May 2022. I arrived at the Oslo Torp airport and then I took a shuttle to the Oslo, center. It took almost 1,5 hours from there. The bus stopped at Oslo bus station and then I needed to find accommodation first because

I went there without a book anywhere. I passed through a park just next to the station and there were some funfairs. After checking some accommodations online and asking someone I found Anker hostel in the center, and I paid 975 Norwegian Krone for 2 nights. It was almost 80 pounds. After sorting out that I started to walk around, and I can share my list and then my ideas about them. The places I put on my list are;

The Royal Palace
Damstredet and Telthusbakken
Karl Johans Gate
Akershus Fortress Damstredet and Telthusbakken
The Vigeland Park Oslo Cathedral
Oslo Opera House Light House
The Royal Palace Tjuvholmen Sculpture Park
Frogner Park Slottsplassen
Radhouse Town Hall Botanical Garden
Nobel Peace Center
Radhouse Town Hall
Sea in Oslo
St. Olavs plass

Also, I recognized Oslo has many museums. I had limited time there I couldn’t visit them, but I would like to share the list of them.

Oslo Opera House is well designed and a great building. There is one of the best places in Oslo to visit I think. I took some reflection photos there from the windows of the building.

Also, I walked around Royal Palace, and then I visited the Slottsplassen area. I took some nice street photos from there.

I went to a restaurant the first day next to the Town Hall building. There was a vegetarian café and I drink lentil soup there. On the second day, I ate fish and chips near the Akershus Fortress area, and it was so delicious.

The area of Damstredet and Telthusbakken was nice and there are many colorful buildings.

I visited inside of the Oslo Cathedral as well and I took some reflection photos from outside.

Oslo Botanical Garden is one of my favorite places in Oslo. I liked it there so much as well and many different plants and flowers you can find.

I strongly suggest using the ferry also in Oslo I went to the Viking Ship area from Oslo Opera House by ferry and it was a great experience to see Oslo by sea as well.

Last day in Oslo I tried to go airport early and I went to Torp airport by train and then there was a shuttle to the airport, but I wanted to walk a bit countryside too.

I walked for almost 50 min and I took some photos of the countryside and green areas there. After that, I flew back to Manchester.
