Marseille, France

I visited Marseille on 12th to15th March and I landed there at 2.30 pm. After that, I went to the city centre by airport shuttle. The first place I visited I went to the La Vieille Charite. I was lucky there was open and when I enter the building, there was so beautiful. All floors they use as a museum and they have a café inside the building. It was nice for me to start the Marseille trip with this beautiful building. I took many photos there.

When I left there, I recognised Marseille has many graffities on all streets and walls. I walked through some beautiful streets and took some graffiti and street pictures then I went to the Cathedrale La Major. Unfortunately, there closed but I took some nice pictures. That Cathedrale is huge and well designed. After that, I watched the sea and there was a huge cruise about to leave from the port. Then, I wanted to go to the place where I booked via Airbnb. I went there by walking and it took almost 50 min.

On the second day, I walked to the centre again and I started my day with Palais Longchamp. There is a beautiful and so big park. There were some monuments and a waterfall.  I walked there and then I visited the St Vincent de Paul Church and I found there was a service going and I just watched a bit and see the inside of the church. It was so big church as well. After that, I went to a café and ate some cookies and drink some coffee.

Following that, I went to the Escaliers du cours Julien. There were many steps and graffities all around the streets and walls. I saw how Marseille is hilly there and then I walked to the Basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde. This church was over the highest hill in Marseille. I had the chance to see all around Marseille and took photos. I bought some souvenirs there as well.

After that, I went to the Abbaye Saint Victor and that church is from the 5th  century. I really felt how old is that building. It was a nice feeling to visit there.

I would say other points I have been they are Porte d’Aix and there is a monument. Also, I couldn’t find a chance to go but Chateau d’lf is beautiful and you can visit the small islands and castle there. Also, If you like to visit museums, museums of civilizations of Europe and the Mediterranean museum is in the centre and worth visiting there too.
