DURHAM

My Durham visit was not so long but it was already satisfying to visit that city. I felt firstly there is so historical city when I arrived the city. I went there by bus from Newcastle, and I needed to change bus in Chester Le Street town.

I would like to say something about there too. Chester Le Street was a small but nice town I almost stayed there for 2 hours and I found a nice breakfast place that is called Ashley Cottage Tea Room. There was a cute place to eat, and the prices were really good. I ordered a breakfast plate and paid almost 4 pounds with coffee. Then there was an open market in the town square with many handmade things you can find. Also When I walked a bit more on the streets I saw many local cafés and a nice view of the church in the town then I go bus to Durham.

If I came back to say something about Durham I visited the market hall in Durham and there were many nice local shops and some international shops as well. Then walked around the city centre and it was really crowded and many people were sitting outside of the café and bars.

I headed to the Durham cathedral. All the time I wanted to visit there because I saw pictures that were beautiful there. When I arrived I recognised there is a really beautiful Cathedral. I started taking some pictures and there was a service. There were huge and beautiful windows around the Cathedral also visited the middle garden. After visiting Durham Cathedral I walked through the river and passed one of the bridges and I saw many people canoeing in the river.

I visited Durham Saturday that’s why the streets were full of people and when I was returning to the train station, I saw nice eating and hangout places with many people. I stopped and had my dinner from a takeaway place and went to the train station for coming back to Sheffield.
