How to take Moon Photos

The moon has a circle from the start of the months to the end of the months and when we see that with time, it looks impressive. All the time I want to take moon photos. I was unsuccessful with my smartphone but I decided to buy a DSLR camera and I am happy I can manage to take moon photos better now.

I want to explain how I take moon photos. Moon is acting really fast that’s why we need to be careful when we take moon photos. It is good to take long exposure photos at night but for the moon it is different. We couldn’t make that because of the movement of the moon.

When I take moon photos first we need a tripod. The camera should stay stable and second we need a telephoto or long zoom lens.

When we settled the camera on the tripod we need set up our settings on the camera. The moon is so bright that’s why we can use the shutter speed around 1/250  and focal length can be f 4.5 then We need to use manual zoom for the moon. When we zoomed and focused on the moon manually we can take the photo. It can be better to put some time like 2 or 10 seconds before taking the shot. Also putting ISO is 100 or lower is important as well. Out handshake can affect the photo of the moon.

There are some examples that I took before;
