Whitby

Whitby is one of my favorite cities and I believe I need to go there again someday soon. Long time I wanted to go to Whitby but it was hard to arrive there because the transportation was hard from Sheffield to there. First, need to go to Scarborough and then need to take a bus to Whitby and it takes almost 3,5 hours.

I went there with a friend. We started our trip and we went to the 199 steps and there was hilly and the view was nice from the steps. When you finish the steps you arrive at the Whitby Abbey.

Whitby Abbey is one of the English Heritage sites and it is worth seeing there. It is famous with Dracula. You need to pay for a ticket and enter the Abbey. The day was rainy and Abbey is mostly destroyed that’s why we stayed under rain most of the time. There was a nice location for photography and I recognized they have some fashion organizations in there.
From the top of the view, you can see the Whitby beach  Whitby lighthouse, Whitby harbor west lighthouse, and west pier.

Whalebone Arch and Captain Cook Memorial were other places to visit and we visited them too. There were some funfairs as well in that location. Whalebone Arch was nice and I took some photos from there.
Whitby has more fish and chips restaurants and it would be nice to taste fish and chips there.

Also, the street just before the 199 steps was so nice and lively. I liked to shops and streets there.
