Knaresborough is a small but so cute town in Yorkshire. It is worth going there to do different activities and visit some of the nice areas.
First I would like to tell Knaresborough train station is so cute. When you arrive there by train you will see this station with some nice color combinations in the station. This station is just after the Knaresborough viaduct. Knaresborough borough viaduct is the most famous place there I think. It is built by Blind Jack who has a sculpture in the town center. This viaduct has a good view from all places in town. Ned river goes under the viaduct and train passes over there to the station.
Knaresborough viaduct is seen best from Knaresborough castle. You need to step up a bit more to achieve castle and garden. The view from there is amazing. Sunset watching or drinking something there is really amazing. There is one museum in the garden of the castle. Just next to the castle you can visit the Berra gardens. That garden is also not so big but you can see many bees sometimes because of different flowers and plants.
You can visit the house in the rock with following way from Berra gardens. You will see a dug man figure and a small house in the garden. It is from the 18th century. If you follow the road more you can see some nice homes and view near the river.
When you come back to the town center there are many nice pubs, restaurants, and café. You will see the area room and the place one of the oldest buildings there. When I visited that place I bought my coffee from Nero and went to the castle to watch the viaduct view. Also another time I went to a café and ordered some scones and drink tea. They are nice places to eat.
I think the best experience for me is to take photographs with the Knaresborough viaduct and canoeing there. It is such a nice experience to row there and goes by canoe on the Ned river and pass under the viaduct. I can suggest doing that.
Also if you follow the road under the viaduct you arrive at the park and it goes by the Ned river. You can see some old places and nice green areas it is nice to walk near the river. The park calls Mackintosh park and is nice for walking. Also, it is worth visiting Harrogate after Knaresborough. There have many nice shops and places to visit and hang out.
